What about luggage allowance for domestic/international flights?

On international and regional flight, the free baggage allowance for each published adult-fare or half-fare passage is as follows:

a) Free baggage allowance in weight:

  • First class fare ticket 40 kg
  • Business class fare ticket 30 kg
  • Economy class fare ticket 20 kg

Note: No free baggage allowance is granted to infants paying 10 % of the adult fare

b) Free baggage allowance in piece:

Free baggage allowance in piece is applicable only on China-USA and China-Canada international flight.

  • The free baggage allowance for each full-fare or half-fare first-class and business-class passenger is two pieces, and the sum of the length, width and height of each piece must not exceed 62 inches (158cm).
  • The free baggage allowance for each economy-class and discounted tourist-class passenger is two pieces, and the sum of the length, width, and height of each must not exceed 62 inches (158cm), but the sum of the length, width and height of the two pieces must not exceed 107 inches (273cm), the weight of each piece must not exceed 32 kg.
  • An infant paying 10 % of the adult fare is allowed one piece of free baggage, and the sum of its length, width and height must not exceed 45 inches (115cm). In addition, a collapsible infant cart or infant handcart is allowed to be carried free.

For baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance in piece, or the sum of the length, width and height of each piece exceeding the prescribed limits, an excess baggage charge should be paid.
